RATT: New Video Interview, Guitar Lesson
September 3, 2010RATT guitarists Warren DeMartini and Carlos Cavazo (ex-QUIET RIOT) recently took part in an interview and guitar lesson with the GuitarWorld.com web site. Check it out at this location.
According to CDJapan.co.jp, a special limited-edition version of RATT's new studio album, "Infestation", will be released in Japan on October 6 featuring songs from the band's rare self-titled debut EP and six live tracks. The bonus DVD features behind-the-scenes footage from the "Infestation" release party, held on April 21, 2010, the "Best of Me" music video, and behind-the-scenes footage from the making of the clip. Also included are a description and lyrics.
RATT was recently forced to cancel its European tour in order to allow vocalist Stephen Pearcy to undergo urgent hernia surgery. He has since made a full recovery and has returned to the road.
"Infestation", the first studio record in 11 years from RATT, sold around 14,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 30 on the Billboard 200 chart. The CD was released on April 20 via Loud & Proud.
"Infestation" was produced by Michael "Elvis" Baskette (CHEVELLE, ALTER BRIDGE) at his Virginia studio, marking the first time the band has recorded outside of Los Angeles. The album is full of attitude and of reflection, cycling through a range of emotions. There are party anthems that RATT are known for alongside more contemplative, thoughtful tunes.
